1979 Fresno State Bulldogs football team


The 1979 Fresno State Bulldogs football team represented California State University, Fresno during the 1979 NCAA Division I-A football season as a member of the Pacific Coast Athletic Association. The team was led by head coach Bob Padilla, in his second year, and played their home games at Ratcliffe Stadium on the campus of Fresno City College in Fresno, California. They finished the season with a record of four wins and seven losses.
While Fresno State lost its 1979 game against the San Jose State Spartans, the game was subsequently forfeited by San Jose State due to the use of an ineligible player. As a result, the adjusted record would be.
