1977 Wimbledon Championships – Men's Singles


successfully defended his title, defeating Jimmy Connors in the final, 3–6, 6–2, 6–1, 5–7, 6–4 to win the Gentlemen's Singles tennis title at the 1977 Wimbledon Championships.
John McEnroe competed for the first time, entering as a qualifier and reaching the semifinals, losing to Connors, whilst former champion Rod Laver made his final Grand Slam appearance.
