1974 US Open – Men's Singles


defeated Ken Rosewall 6–1, 6–0, 6–1 in the final to win the Men's Singles tennis title at the 1974 US Open. It set the record for the shortest ever Grand Slam men's singles final, both in number of games and duration, taking only 1 hour and 18 minutes to complete. John Newcombe was the defending champion but lost in the semifinals to Ken Rosewall.
