1974 FIFA World Cup Group A
Group A of the 1974 FIFA World Cup Second Group stage is a part of the second group stage during the World Cup Finals. It is the first time that this level of the competition is played under a Group fomula.
Group A was contested between 26 June and 3 July 1974. in three cities: Dortmund, Gelsenkirchen and Hanover.
Following the tournament process this pool is composed by the first stage Group 1 and Group 3 winners with the runners up of the Group 2 and Group 4The winners of Group 1 and 3 and the runners-up of Group 2 and 4 qualified for Group A of the second round.
