1965 Cal State Los Angeles Diablos football team


The 1965 Cal State Los Angeles Diablos football team represented California State University, Los Angeles during the 1965 NCAA College Division football season.
Cal State Los Angeles competed in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The team was led by third-year head coach Homer Beatty, and played home games at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. They finished the season as champions of the CCAA, with a record of nine wins and one loss. In those ten games, the team outscored the opposition 264 to 97.
At the end of the regular season, Cal State Los Angeles qualified for the Camellia Bowl, which was the Western Regional Final in the College Division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The Diablos beat UC Santa Barbara in the game, 18–10. The year-end AP small college football poll had Cal State Los Angeles ranked second.
