1920 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team


The 1920 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team represented the University of Notre Dame during the 1920 college football season, led by third-year head coach Knute Rockne. The team won all nine games and was selected retroactively as national champion by the Billingsley Report and as a co-national champion by Parke H. Davis.
Senior back George Gipp was a consensus All-American, but died on December 14 due to a streptococcal throat infection and pneumonia.
