16 Days of Glory
16 Days of Glory is a 1985 documentary film about the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California, United States directed by Bud Greenspan. Among the athletes profiled are Mary Lou Retton, Greg Louganis and Michael Groß.
The film exists in multiple versions, including a theatrical version running almost 2.5 hours and a TV version covering six hours.
The film premiered at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California on July 29, 1985.
It had a two-week Oscar qualifying run in Santa Monica, California from October 23, 1985. It opened in New York City on March 7, 1986 and grossed $84,000.
The longer version was shown on PBS as a six-part mini-series in July 1988.
